Baked brie with brown sugar, maple, and bacon

Baked brie with brown sugar, maple, and bacon

Enjoy this savory and sweet, one-of-a-kind baked brie cheese with the sweetness of brown sugar and maple syrup and saltiness of bacon.

Equipment

  • Baking dish
  • fry pan
  • Liquid measuring cup
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon cooked and chopped
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbs brown sugar
  • 8 oz. brie cheese
  • Your choice of items to serve with Pretzels, baguettes, crackers, sliced apples

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cook bacon until crisp in a frying pan
  • Melt butter in a heat safe dish
  • Combine butter and maple syrup together
  • Unwrap brie cheese and set in the middle of the baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the top of the cheese with the bacon and brown sugar.
  • Then drizzle the maple syrup-butter mixture over the the brie cheese.
  • Put into oven and make for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is soft and bubbly.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with a variety of items for dipping, such as crackers, sliced baguettes, pretzels, sliced apples

Tips

Be sure to always use pure maple syrup so you get the most rich flavors. You can tell the difference by s implying looking at the ingredient list for only one ingredient- maple syrup.

What to serve with baked brie cheese?

There are a lot of options to serve with baked brie cheese. If the cheese is baked in a pastry crust, cured meats such as salami, olives, and fruit like apples pair well.

For bake brie recipes without a pastry, crackers, baguettes, and great options.
